Our Version

Of the Navajo Taco. We slow cooked our organic ground beef (works best for not getting me sick!) in the crock-pot all day.

Then Gino whipped up some fried bread.

A completed taco with all the trimmings. Topped with beans, slow cooked organic ground beef, lettuce, cheese, tomato, and a dollop of sour cream.

Doesn’t it look yummy!?!

Isabel’s first taste of Navajo taco’s and she loved them! She gobbled it up so fast!

With still half the dough left, Gino rolled out some homemade tortilla’s.
Just like ones his Grandma used to make.

Kindergarten: Day 21

I’m so excited!!! The main road to our house is getting closer to being completed. This morning the men/ladies were out early laying the first layer of asphalt down!!! The work for the main road began 3 years ago this October.

I’m happy… I want to be “Mater” and drive on the new road!

The mornings activity was horizontal line practice. The kids that arrived when we did all wanted to turn their page and Mrs. Boettcher told them they couldn’t because they weren’t practicing vertical lines today.

Mrs. Boettcher gave out pattern blocks again today. The kids were able to build their own shapes today.

Rr” practice again today.

Back: As you can see, Isabel still needs this practice with “Rr’s“.

During recess Isabel played with Taylor again today. She said they played camping. The girls hid out away from the growling boys and camped.

Music was cancelled for this week because Mrs. Seal is getting married.

Back: On the back Mrs. Boettcher told the class to draw a picture from the board. Isabel choose to draw a red rose.
