Kindergarten: Day 22

Today is half day for the whole school (grades K-12), however the class won’t be getting out with Isabel. They will be getting out at noon.

When Isabel got out of class today, she was excited to tell me all about her day and she did so as we were walking back to the car.

The opening activity was a maze. Isabel didn’t feel like coloring her picture…

Back: So she flipped the paper over and began a list of 14 words.
She’s been doing this a lot here at home as well. I’ll find paper with lists of random words just written on them.

Today was “free choice” Friday. Recess was shortened and each of the kids got to choose an activity to do in the classroom. Isabel choose to work on the computers and she got to play a video game. After the video game, she headed over to the craft table and her and Taylor made a puppet and a wordless book. The wordless book, Isabel brought home and she said she has to finish it soon. The book is about going to the beach and I think, when she’s finished with it she’s taking it back to school to give to Taylor. We’ll see, she’s been working on it since she got home.

Anyway…

No plastic bears today, just counting and coloring the picture.

Back: Review vertical and horizontal lines and a drawing of  2 balloons.

We wrap up the week with our Bible verse. Isabel has gotten very good at memorizing the verse for the week and yet still remembers the others as well.
Next week we get a new one!

This week’s Bible verses:

“Dd” – “Depart from evil and do good.” Psalm 34:14

“Cc” – “Children obey your parents in the Lord,  for this is right.” Ephesians 6:1

“Bb” – “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved.” Acts 16:31

“Aa” – “All have sinned and come short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23
