for dinner! Yup, we made meatloaf cupcakes for dinner and they were a huge hit with Isabel (and she doesn’t like meatloaf).
Isabel embellished her cupcake with chives, diced-dried onions, peas and a carrot topper!
A life full of faith, hope, love, and laughter.
All things in and out of the kitchen.
Isabel surprised me with how tall she has gotten and today was one of those days.
I was busy cleaning and she asked me a few times to eat lunch. I kept agreeing with her to eat but saw something else that needed to be done and would get side tracked.
She eventually got hungry enough she went make her own lunch! (Which got me to stop and eat as well!)
She’s a growing girl!
She got out all the items she needed to make her PB&J!
She’s growing!
My 1,000th posting has arrived!!
I am shocked that it’s here.
When we began this blog 6 years ago, I had no idea what to talk/blog about, let alone who’s going to read what I write!?! What do I have to say that is meaningful to those who read this blog?
Someone has been reading my words, most of those people have been family and a few friends. No one else has ever told me they read what I write, besides my own parents and they enjoy it. My father skims through the postings, mainly looking at the pictures and my Mother reads each one through. So someone does read it!
In those 6 years, I have really begun to enjoy blogging. I feel terrible if, I miss a day. This is my journal, about our lives and what we do. Some day, Isabel will be able to look back and read what she did on this and this day. She may even get a few laughs out of it and say, “Hey, I remember doing that!”
What I hope she gets most out of my words/blog, is that I love her very much. I want her to look back and remember those times that she has forgotten when she’s older. So she can sit at her dining room table (eating dinner) and tell her kids about the time she did this and the time she did that. Just like she enjoys doing with Daddy and I now and hearing about when we were her age.
So what I write is for her… remember to have faith, put your hope in Jesus. He loves you more. Laugh and enjoy this website.
It’s for you, Squirt! I love you.
Tonight’s menu selection was another good one!
Pork Tenderloin, Zucchini Boats on the Grill and Brown Rice
The tenderloin was great and the zucchini boats were awesome!
Isabel even loved them!
We didn’t get to finish grilling the meat or the “boats” because we ran out of propane in the middle of cooking. Gino had to bring it all in and finish everything up on the stove and in the oven . No big deal, it was all good!
As we finish up our week on our meal plan we have another new (to us) menu item:
Turkey Quinoa Meatloaf and Rockin Good Smashed Cauliflower with Garlic
The turkey meatloaf was better then what we have had in the past with turkey meatloaf.
The smashed cauliflower was defiantly different! Not bad, just different. I thought it was great that they didn’t taste like cauliflower because I’m not a fan of cauliflower. So it’s a great what to eat it! Also, I was in charge of the carrots (not in picture) and completely forgot about them, so that’s why there is a “gap” on my plate.
Gino’s working late tonight and it’s time to clean up some of the items in the refrigerator. So tonight, it’s leftovers!
No photo tonight…
Tonight we had tilapia fish tacos. Not as good as using cod, like we normally do but they were good.
No photo tonight…I forgot.
