Palm Sunday

Today at church, we got a surprise when we learned that Isabel would be on stage for the very first time! Enjoy!

While the church sang, “Hosanna” by Paul Baloche and Brenton Brown,
the kids came out waving palm branches.

Can you see Isabel in the above photo? So glad I had my camera…

For such a job well done, she got a sucker!

Rock and Worship Roadshow 2010

The Rock and Worship Roadshow came to the Tacoma Dome and for just $10 bucks it got you in the door to see…Sidewalk Prophets, Remedy Drive, Fee, Francesca Battistelli, Family Force 5 (still weird, we saw them at Creation last year, it was Gabbi’s first time and she thinks they are weird too), David Crowder*Band, and Mercy Me. I didn’t get photos of Sidewalk Prophets because Gino and I had left our seats to go and get some merchandise while Gabbi stayed with Isabel, so didn’t get to “see” them but got to hear them. Enjoy!

Opening for Mercy Me (who put on an amazing show!); can’t wait for their new CD coming out in May. It’s going to be awesome!

Afterward, all the members of each band sat down to give out autographs for the fans. We would have waited in line but it so past someone’s bedtime and she was DONE! Maybe next time…

Ask Isabel, he’s her man! She loves his music!

On The Mend

Last week Gino got sick with a NASTY bug! I was hoping it would pass Isabel and I but we ended up being down for 3 days. Today, Isabel and I finally got up the energy to take a photo together. Enjoy!

I have more to blog (and by the end of the week will have even more! The Rock & Worship Roadshow is coming!) about and will try to do that hopefully soon.

The View Out The Back Window

has changed! There are actually 4 houses being built, the 4th house we can’t. I’m so very sad to see the mountain view go…

March 15th: the work actually started on the 12th of March @ 7 a.m. and has continued every day since (except for Sundays). The noise has been driving me crazy!

March 18th: the roofs are on and hopefully the noise level will start to diminish.

March 22nd: the windows went in today; tomorrow they start siding the 3rd house over from view.

Doll House

Yesterday before Isabel got her hair cut, I stopped by the St. Vincent de Paul thrift store, that I’ve been meaning to stop and shop at for the past 3 years now. Wasn’t looking for anything in particular just looking. I’m a bargain book hunter and that’s where I headed to first. While I spent time looking through the books, Isabel dug through the toys. Afterward, Isabel showed me the toys she was interested in, when I spotted something sitting on the floor. My first thought was it’s terribly dirty/gross and second it’s going to cost big bucks because it’s Fisher Price. However, it was something we had been talking about getting Isabel and I decided to see how much it was going to be; all it needed was to be scrubbed and scrubbed some more! Enjoy!

Close-up. Dirt/grim was everywhere!

Close-up of the dirty porch; so gross but I think I can get it sparkly clean.

I took 2 days to clean it (about 2 1/2 hours of actual clean up time), even got out Q-tips to get all the nooks and crevices.

While I was cleaning, I realized that it plays sounds as well. A basket of kittens meows, the telephone plays a busy signal and rings, and the baby bed plays several songs and messages. Also, all the stickers are in tack not a single one missing or peeled away, so it’s almost brand new! Woohoo!

Oh, I forgot to mention how much I spent on this fabulous place! It was only cost .99 cents! I’m so excited and Isabel is thrilled to have a doll house.
