Second Grade: Day 9

Today is Monday and it’s All-School Open and music class.

Isabel said A.S.O. was a fun one. They sang one of her favorite songs “I am a C-H-R-I-S-T-I-A-N”. They also had a lesson on playing fair, given by Principle Mrs. B.

Isabel got her first “R” for the year this morning. She got it in “Responsibility” for penmanship in her Bible verse from last Friday. She didn’t get her name drawn for a “Shining R” but there is always next time.

Her test from last week’s Bible verse test.
Very nice. The penmanship is awesome!

2013-09-17 004_edited-1This was attached to her test and she said that it was a pretest that was given on Wednesday or Thursday. We love the coloring!

This week’s Bible verse is…

“The Lord will fulfill His purpose for me; your love, O Lord endures forever.”
– Psalm 138:8a

Today was also music class with Mr. G. The class played a hand rhythm pattern game with a partner. Isabel was partner’s with Mr. L.

Monday is Isabel’s show and tell (S.a.T.) day. This week’s S.a.T. theme is: share something special about your family. Isabel tried all weekend to think of something to talk about but in the end couldn’t think of anything. From her Monday share group only 1 person shared something.

Today was a special day, it was Ms. R’s birthday. Her mother brought the whole class pizza and cupcakes for lunch! Happy Birthday Ms. R!

At the end of the day Ms. H’s mother brought cake pop’s for the whole class. They were to celebrate being in second grade, “Second grade is sweet!” Isabel’s cake pop was pink, with purple little sprinkles.
