First Grade: Day 98

It’s Marvelous Monday! Which means All-School Open too.

Isabel had a doctor’s appointment first thing this morning so she didn’t make it to class until later in the morning. Her check-up was great. She is right on track with her height, her weight is still a bit under normal but nothing to be concerned about. Her hearing and eye sight are great. All her internal workings are working normally and we got Dr. approved “milk intolerance”. Hurray!

Exciting news on the playground at school!!!

The NEW BIG toy was installed over the weekend and EVERYONE was on it recess! Isabel said that it was to crowded and so she played on the “old” BIG toy. Which she says is fine because she likes the fire pole on the “old” BIG toy anyway!

The “old” BIG toy needs a new part, for it to be safe for everyone who plays on it, with it being so old that parts for it can not be found to repair it. So a fund at school was set up, this year, to get a new BIG toy. The funding would have taken the school over 4 years to raise the funds for this needed item. Our playground needed a new BIG toy!!

A parent heard about our need and offered a 2-year old BIG toy for FREE!!! The school just had to get a group of men together to install it. The Lord does provide! So awesome!

I got another picture of the new BIG toy! This thing is HUGE!!!!

The school is keeping the “old” BIG toy anyway because another parent heard about the need and said he could make a new part for the “old” BIG toy no problem! PTL!! I’m going to have to step over to the playground and see this amazing answer to prayer!

This week’s Bible verse is:

“By faith Rahab was not killed with those who were disobedient.” – Hebrews 11:31

Isabel missed A.S.O. this morning due to her appointment.

With her appointment, she also would have had extra homework. Although she worked extra hard in class today and got all her work finished so she wouldn’t have extra homework tonight after school. I told her her I was so proud that she took that extra step to get the work done! Way to go!

After looking over the page I noticed that 2 of the sentences were wrong.

She needs to work on capitalization and punctuation. She usually forgets either one.
