Baking: Cookies

After Isabel assembled all her circles from her A.G. craft dangler, we made a batch of chocolate chip cookies. While the cookies were in the oven, I assembled the circles for her.

She was a huge helper and added all the dry ingredients. She tried cracking an egg but almost ended up adding the whole egg (shell included) into the batter. She didn’t like the feel of the yolk. All that slime was to much! (go figure; she can handle frogs and worms and such)

The finished product tastes great, she didn’t want to add nuts (which I prefer in homemade chocolate chip cookies) but this was her baking lesson and we did them her way.

A.G. Craft – Dangler Owl

When we went to the craft store on Friday after school to get a birthday gift, I also got a few crafts for Isabel to do over the summer. Both craft projects came as kits but she could easily continue doing the projects long after the kits are finished.

Today she wanted to do one of her projects in the first kit; danglers. She choose to do an owl.

She did all the circle assembly, circle shaping and I finished with assembly of the circles into the owl. We ended up sitting at the table for over 2 hours working on this together. She loved doing this project and I really enjoyed doing it with her.

The kit has 4 projects that she can assemble and make; diamond, butterfly, flower and owl.
The kit comes with all the paper pre-cut, all you do is add double sided tape (provided)
and follow the directions.
