First Grade: Day 123

Today is Wonderful Wednesday!

It’s music class with Mr. G and computer lab with Mrs. T.

Isabel said they were practicing for their spring program again today. She was singing the chorus to one of the songs but she couldn’t remember the whole thing.

During computer lab they did more AR testing.

First Grade: Day 122

Today is Terrific Tuesday and it’s Chapel and library.

I had a meeting after school today and didn’t get a whole lot of information about her school day.

Chapel was given by Pastor Josh (Isabel didn’t catch were he was from). Isabel said he spoke on the school theme for this year Matthew 12:33-36 and gave great lessons.

Lesson 1: God wants to be your priority! You will begin to be what you think and what you hear. If you read, think and talk about God, He will be your everything!
Lesson 2: Practice makes perfect. Store scripture in your heart! The greatest commandment is to love the Lord with all your heart, soul, mind and strength.

“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.” Matthew 12:30-31

First Grade: Day 121

It’s Marvelous Monday!

Which means All-School Open. The Monday morning assembly for announcements and other fun stuff for the week. Today they talked about the 6th grade bake sale coming up next Friday. The funds raised from the bake sale will help get students to the spring 6th grade camp next month. So bring your change and enjoy some baked goods or two!

This week’s Bible verse…

“If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation.” II Corinthians 5:17a

Isabel didn’t mention anything about school. She was just disappointed that she wasn’t going to “after-school” care. She was looking forward to it but that’s tomorrow because I have a meeting.

Today was a sunny day, so they did get to play outside on the playground and didn’t have to play in the gym.

First Grade: Day 120

Today is Thankful Thursday and it’s P.E. with Mrs. S.

For P.E. they played crab soccer. Isabel said she didn’t like it at all! Her arms, legs, and back hurt. She also felt like she was getting “carpet burn” on her bottom!

They also had computer lab again (went yesterday) today and did more AR testing. Isabel didn’t say how many tests she took today.

First Grade: Day 119

Today is Wonderful Wednesday and it’s music class with Mr. G and computer lab with Mrs. T.

Isabel said they are practicing for a spring program! First time that I have heard of this!

For computer lab, they did AR testing.

Isabel had an accident with her homework after school. Her water bottle leaked all over inside her backpack! Oops! So I had to use the blow dryer to get the soggy sheets dry so she could do her homework. Everything is a bit wrinkled but that’s OK.

We found her take home folder from yesterday. One of her classmates had picked it up and taken it home! She got it back and only had to 2 extra pages of homework for tonight.
