First Grade: Day 6

This morning I had to get to work so Isabel and Gino were on there own for the day until I got home around 4.

Wednesday in class is called “Wonderful Wednesdays“.

Wonderful Wednesdays is also music class with the school music teacher Mr. G.

More “shoe box” books.

Front: phonics work with letters “B” and “K” and below
“Come to the mall” and “I look for the grapes.” – I am enjoying the pictures!

Back: phonic work with letters “W” and “X” and below
“See me read the Bible” and “I have one dog.”

“God says all wrong doing is sin.” – Love the coloring!

They have been talking about Adam and Eve still (more from last week) and focusing more on the sin. The focus this week has been “God’s perfect world is spoiled by sin” from Genesis 3: 1-6:8.

Her math work she does part in class and then brings the back page home for homework each day and then she returns it the following day. I tend to forget to get a picture of it before it heads back to class.

She has really been enjoying class and getting to know the kids in her class and the other first grade class (a lot of whom is already knows from Preschool and Kindergarten). She seems to really like her teacher Mrs. B as well. After school, she is very excited to tell us about her day and what she does at each of her 3 recesses (the highlight of her day) and who she plays with!

Next Wednesday (one week from today) will be her first field trip, I will not be able to go with her this time, so I hope that she’s o.k. going by herself for the very first time.
We’ll see…
