Caught Her Fancy Part 2

I again gave Isabel the camera to see what she saw through the screen. Enjoy!

The first photo is of Daddy playing the drums. Very blurry and dark, but that’s not her fault. We have no lights in the front room and without the flash, well, you’ll get a dark photo.

Dora and Boots on her umbrella handle. Blurry too.

The next day after school the weather was absolutely gorgeous and I let her have the camera again in hopes from some interesting photos…

Our little budding photographer.

She said she liked the clouds but somehow she got more of the fence.

This dandelion is a great clear shot!

Another dandelion. She’s always had a fascination with them. Clear shot too!

Another weed.

The shed concrete pad and another weed.

The next photo, she set it down and started collecting rocks. When I asked her why, she told me to wait…

Her rock face. I love that she took the time to actually create this and then take a photo of it. She was thinking through! Great photo!

She even got a photo of me! It’s great, nice and clear. Good job!

After the photo of me, she went back to taking photos of the clouds.

Wispy-gray cloud day. Great day for taking photos!

Kindergarten: Day 49

The road crew was out early this morning working on the new traffic signal at the end of our main street. It’s going to be so nice! I got to go through the green light on our way to school and felt safe crossing traffic. Some of the road “ladies” were removing cones from further down the street to open the final lane for traffic. It’s been over 2 years since the work began and I am so ready for it to end!

Mrs. Boettcher and Mrs. Kelso were both excited to see Isabel back at school. Her cough has subsided but is still lingering around. She was excited to be back and showed off her new purple fingertips!

I found out from the internet yesterday, that there is no over-the-counter medication for children under the age of 12 with a cough. The FDA has banded it since 2008. I did find information about giving her a 1/2 teaspoon of honey.  Yesterday it worked! She still was coughing but it seemed fewer and less harsh. I was surprised and will try it again for sure!

Today was Show-and-Tell Wednesday, for the boys that is. The items the boys had to bring had to begin with the letter “Dd“. Ja’Siah brought a Pillow Pets® dinosaur and a toy dinosaur that was smaller. Lincoln or Nevan (Isabel couldn’t remember who) brought a puppy dog. Since there are only 5 boys in the class they mostly brought dinosaurs.

Isabel has also learned to count by 10’s. She practices while she’s eating at the table. So cool to see that she’s picked up numbers and counting so quickly and easily.

Only one paper today.

Back: dot to dot.

Tomorrow is Ansley’s last day. She’s moving. I’m not sure exactly if she’s moving schools or moving locations. Isabel has just said she’s moving.

Today is the half way mark to day 100 of Kindergarten! I know the class is excited about this day, that is so fast approaching.
