Deception

Today the sun was out and it looked warmer then normal so Isabel and I headed outside for some fresh air. Much to my surprise there was a slight breeze blowing and it was cold! So needless to say we only stayed out for about 15 min. or so…bummer. I wish spring would arrive soon.

Excitement!

Rosy cheeks from the breeze.

Conversation With Isabel

Tonight while talking on the phone with my father, Isabel, who had been taking a nap beside me, began to wake up. I paused a moment to ask Isabel if she wanted to talk with Gmpa on the phone. She said no and I then continued my conversation with my father. A few minutes later, a more awake Isabel comes over to me and asks if she could sit on my lap. So again, I ask her if she wants to talk with Gmpa on the phone, and she says…”No, because my mouth is just waking up!”

First try

We found these cool dry erase books at Target a while back and today was Isabel’s first lesson in writing. We thought she did an amazing job for her first try…

Straight line making.

More practice; she controls the pen really well.

Afterward we moved onto something a bit more complex; letter writing.
She did a GREAT job!
(little stinker stuck her tongue out!)

Happy Birthday Jeannie

This past weekend we spent over in Eastern Washington with friends and family. On Sunday, it was Gino’s cousin, Jeannie’s birthday, so we spent the afternoon visiting and celebrating. Linda Jean and Jeannie made loco taco’s (to hot for me – I had some VERY YUMMY Mexican meatball soup! Thanks Jeannie!) We all had lots of fun and Isabel enjoyed the time getting to know her cousins.

The birthday girl and Isabel. When the cake was set on the table, Isabel actually thought it was her birthday! The look on her face was priceless; wish I would have gotten it on camera!

…so we re-lit two of the candles and let Isabel blow them out
(with the help of Abeni).
