Today is Thursday and it’s the night of the Christmas program!
The kids and Mr. G (and a whole list of others) have been working really really hard on their program.
They practiced a lot during school today. Isabel said they missed one recess because of practice. Nothing else was said about her day and we didn’t have much time to talk about her day before heading back to school for the program.

Today is Wednesday and it’s library and the Christmas shop in the gym.
(Chapel has been moved to Friday this week)
The Christmas Shop is provided each year for the kids to shop for their family members. The gifts are priced no more than $5.00 and the gifts are donations from families at the school, who want to donate to the Christmas shop. The kids love being able to shop on their own for family and friends.
Isabel was excited to head to the Christmas Shop because before school, we were able to see the gifts available for purchase. She purchased 3 gifts for her family at the Christmas Shop. She got something for Daddy and something for Mommy and something for herself too!
During their normal Chapel, the classes (K-6) went to the sanctuary to practice for their program tomorrow.

Today is Tuesday and it’s music class with Mr. G
I know they are really working on their Christmas program. Isabel has been singing bits and pieces of the songs. I am getting excited and she’s getting tired of practicing. It’s going to be great!
She didn’t have anything to say about her school day and she had no homework to do!
It’s been a busy week and it’s just going to get busier before the weekend.

I got this wonderful idea off the web and thought that I could do something like it for Isabel and all her little earrings she’ll be getting soon.
I purchased a pre-painted white frame and a few embellishments to give it some pizzazz.
All the items I think I’ll need.
I might get started and think of something.
I picked out colors that I know she will like; purple sapphire, turquoise, bubble gum and sterling.
All the paints are glitter! So this is really going to sparkle!
Things are looking great!
I ended up using regular glitter for the letters. The paint just wasn’t covering like I wanted it to. So a little dip in glue and I got them covered.
Everything needs to dry and then tomorrow I’ll hopefully start to attach it all to the frame. Gino is going to help me with the aluminum and getting that attached to the frame correctly. It’s coming together! When it’s all finished I’ll post a completed project photo!
Today is the last Monday before Christmas Vacation!
This week is going to be a really busy one, there is a lot going on before we can even think about going on vacation!…

S.a.T. (show and tell) this week is to share your families favorite Christmas tradition. Isabel shared our tradition of eating pancakes on Christmas morning. Teacher Mrs. A shared that she makes homemade cinnamon rolls on Christmas morning. Yum! Yum!
On the way home, Isabel said they practiced again today for the Christmas program on Thursday night. She also told me that she’s going to be singing a solo! Get out the recorder and let’s hear her sing! Can’t wait!
She didn’t have anything else to say about her day. It’s getting harder and harder to get information out of her about her day. I keep trying though…
Language arts is proper nouns with a test on Tuesday and “From Seed to Plant“. Which ties in with the Science lesson about plants.

We finally got our Christmas tree up and decorated.
We had started last weekend but ran out of time and with work and school activities going on throughout the week we didn’t get it finished then either. So we spent the afternoon getting it finished up.
Compared to last year’s tree, this one is about 2 feet taller and a tiny bit wider.
Our tree has been trimmed!
Today is Friday and it’s testing day in class and computer lab with Mrs. T.
Isabel said she didn’t take any tests today except for the Bible verse. She had to say the verse aloud to Teacher Mrs. A.
“Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” Romans 12:2a
They also had a free-choice day (their first one!). They got to choose whether to read a book (from the class library), play a game from the cupboard or put a puzzle together. Isabel said she put a puzzle together with some help from Teacher Mrs. A. Together they worked on a 100-piece puzzle with a “cute raccoon that was in a pair of pants hanging from a clothes line” she said. She had a lot of fun doing that.
During computer lab, they didn’t do any lab work; instead they watched 2 movies! She really enjoyed that!
Overall, she said that today was the best school day.

Today is Thursday and it’s P.E. class with Mrs. S.
In P.E. class they did a few running laps around the gym and then played dodge ball.
She didn’t mention anything else about her day and I didn’t get to ask because I had my Preschool 3’s class Christmas program tonight.
