This afternoon after brunch we worked together to make two loaves of banana bread.
Daddy gathered and measured all the ingredients.

Then she mashed them in the bowl. While I greased the pans and chopped the nuts.
Moments from the oven…can you smell the banana goodness?
After some cooling time we all had a warm slice or two with milk. Yummy!
Thought I would add a picture of our ole girl.
We are taking her to the vet tomorrow for a check-up, shots and hopefully some calming medicine for the fireworks in 2 weeks! She had such a rough time last year, it was days before she was her normal self.

Today while I was finishing up the data entry for Gino. Isabel was busy working on some fantastic artwork!

Today is the last day of school and the last day of kindergarten!
Isabel has had mixed emotions about this day. Hopefully it will go better for her and she won’t be to sad. There is a “promotion” program later today after school.
Just like for the first day of school, I have to get a photo for the last day of school too!

Before class started we got a group hug with her 2 teachers,
Mrs. Boettcher (l) and Mrs. Kelso.
Both of whom are FANTASTIC teachers!
Isabel is going to miss them, especially Mrs. Boettcher who will not be returning to our school next year. She will be teaching Preschool at another school. However she did say she would stop by the school and visit.
As you can see (below) that I finally got my photos organized on my computer. That was a mess! Some photos were doubled and a few were triple saved! I have no idea how that all happened but the mess is all cleaned up now and it’s so much easier to go through all the photos that we have. I will try and go back and add postings to all the days I have missed in the last month and a half! What a task ahead that will be! Wow!
We (Isabel and I) went on vacation last month to Utah for 2 high school graduations. It was so wonderful to see my family and spend time with them even for the short time together. This week, June 4-8, is the last week of Kindergarten. Isabel will be a first-grader by the end of the week! Yikes!! I am so sad to see her early years come to end but I know that she’s in good hands.
God is only just beginning his wonderful work in her life and I can already begin to see His “fingerprints” in/on her life. I leave the work to him and continue to pray that as she continues to grow older, she continues to understand the importance of a relationship with Jesus is in her life.
Life can get so messed up when we decide to go our own way and not let Him steer us where He wants us to go. Life is better when we follow His plan and walk with Him.
Well, I have much to do and if I don’t get started the pile will just bigger. God bless and we’ll see ya soon…
While we were on vacation last month, Grandma and Grandpa bought Isabel some new clothes for school along with 2 new dresses for Chapel! I picked this one out and the other dress Grandma picked out. Isabel liked both.
It’s a black summer dress with a black/white ribbon sewn along the skirt. The ribbon was formed into flowers at different spots (see below). Very cute.
Since she can’t wear it like a sun-dress to school, I added the little white top, which worked out perfectly and then had her wear a pair of black long shorts underneath (which worked for running around at recess!).
