Snuggle

Even though Daisy is pushing 11 years old and weighs close to 40 pounds. She still likes to jump up in his lap and get a good snuggle!

She was up and down, up and down, bothering Gino while he worked in the rocker. Finally he pulled the computer away and let her up. The whining stopped and the contentment and joy settled in for this old girl.

She snuggled in (after lots of wet kisses!) and let the love seep in. She loves her man.

You can see the love there.

Happy Birthday Gino

Today is Daddy’s birthday!

Mommy worked really hard at keeping everything a secret including his new gift. Since he always tends to find out what his getting.

Mommy made his favorite burrito’s and we had gluten-free cupcakes from our favorite local baker. Everything was yummy!

It’s big and heavy.
What could it be?

It’s a brewing machine or as Daddy said, “a stink machine”.
I like to think of it as a “less stink machine” since I can’t smell the aroma as much as I can with traditional coffee maker.

Happy Birthday, Daddy!

Fathers Day 2013

Today we celebrate all our Dads and all the wonderful things they do for us.
Thank you Dads!

“Love is patient,
love is kind.
It does not envy,
it does not boast,
it is not proud.
It is not rude,
it is not self-seeking,
it is not easily angered,
it keeps no record of wrongs.
Love does not delight in evil
but rejoices with the truth.
It always protects,
always trusts,
always hopes,
always perseveres.
Love never fail.”
– I Corinthians 13:4-8a

My 1000 Post

My 1,000th posting has arrived!!

I am shocked that it’s here.

When we began this blog 6 years ago, I had no idea what to talk/blog about, let alone who’s going to read what I write!?! What do I have to say that is meaningful to those who read this blog?

Someone has been reading my words, most of those people have been family and a few friends. No one else has ever told me they read what I write, besides my own parents and they enjoy it. My father skims through the postings, mainly looking at the pictures and my Mother reads each one through. So someone does read it!

In those 6 years, I have really begun to enjoy blogging. I feel terrible if, I miss a day. This is my journal, about our lives and what we do. Some day, Isabel will be able to look back and read what she did on this and this day. She may even get a few laughs out of it and say, “Hey, I remember doing that!”

What I hope she gets most out of my words/blog, is that I love her very much. I want her to look back and remember those times that she has forgotten when she’s older. So she can sit at her dining room table (eating dinner) and tell her kids about the time she did this and the time she did that. Just like she enjoys doing with Daddy and I now and hearing about when we were her age.

So what I write is for her… remember to have faith, put your hope in Jesus. He loves you more. Laugh and enjoy this website.

It’s for you, Squirt! I love you.

Happy Birthday Daisy

Today is Daisy’s 10th Birthday!!

Wow! so much has happened and changing in those short 10 years it’s unbelievable that we’ve made it together this long. She is the longest pet that we have ever owned and the second longest pet I have owned.

She’s got a lot of white/grey in her face but don’t let that fool you!
She still has her “puppy” spunk!

Isabels Hair Bop

Welcome to Isabel’s Hair Bop!

Grandma (Grandpa didn’t want to make an appointment) made a hair and nail appointment today at Isabel’s today.

Isabel is super excited to be doing Grandma’s hairs and nails today!
She had been asking Grandma for the past 2 days if she could do her nails and hairs.

Trying to keep the polish on the nail and not her finger. She did a fantastic job! Look at that concentration!

The only color of choice at Isabel’s Hair Bop was purple but Grandma didn’t mind she likes purple too.

Grandma’s hairs are done. She got 3 hair clips and Isabel called it good. Which is funny because when she does my hair she adds all the clips and stuff and my hair is dripping wet! Maybe it’s because I have way more hair Grandma!

Looking good.

Right hand finished.
Isabel did a great job for painting someone’s nail for the first time!

Working on getting that left hand completed.

She did a great job on the left hand too!

Thank you for coming to Isabel’s Hair Bop!
