First Grade: Day 30

Today is Terrific Tuesday which means it’s Chapel and library day!

Today Teacher Mrs. A and Teacher Mrs. D both spoke in Chapel. Teacher Mrs. A, read the story “The Oak Inside the Acorn” by Max Lucado. Isabel was excited to hear a book that she has at home!

The library book she got today was another Berenstain Bears book. She loves those bears!

Ready, Get Set, Go!
I’ve told her she needs to stretch herself a little more and get a more challenging book.

Unscramble the words.
Her writing is looking great!

Working with nouns again.
Great job!

Again great writing!

The class is really looking forward to Friday and the 2nd field trip of the year, going to the pumpkin patch! Hopefully with some great weather they will have a wonderful time! Either way, I know they’ll have fun!

Berry Farm

The preschool 4’s class is now in need of a extra teacher and this week I’ve been asked to help out…

So this morning I went with my class to the berry farm. They had such a fun time. They saw turkeys, goats, chickens, a roaster, and Portuguese ducks (ugly looking birds!). The kids got to pick carrots, potatoes, apples, raspberries, and a pumpkin.

One large roaster in a huge flock of over 300+ hens.

One very large turkey; I’m thinking dinner!
In the background you can see a portion of the 300+ hens.

The class gets a hay ride to the apple orchards in the back of the farm.

Picking out their pumpkins.
They were super excited for this part!!

Most of the class here and Mrs. Lucas.
