Tumbling Tykes: Day 5

Moving along with our tumbling/gymnastics class… Ms. Mo has expanded on what they have learned from last month. It’s great to see them actually focusing more on what Ms. Mo has to say and wanting to do what she does. Enjoy!

To get the classes heart rate up. Ms. Mo had each one run and hop through her slalom course. They did this twice and then headed over to the mat.

Stretching out.

Doing the “donkey kick” for the head stand from last week.

Jump off, do a jumping-jack in midair and land like “superman” or dismount.

Heal-toe, heal-toe, heal-toe, heal-toe… dismount!

Working on the “monkey-roll” with Ms. Mo. Isabel’s got to remember to keep those feet together!

Backward balance beam work; heal-toe, heal-toe, heal-toe, heal-toe… dismount!

After Ms. Mo went through each area of exercise with the whole class. She took each student one-on-one over to the far mat to work on areas of improvement.

No story today because the class went over in time. However Mrs. Mo went over safety issues and they had a treat!
