Hoover Dam

On Thursday, my parents came down to Vegas to pick Isabel and I up, while Gino stayed in Vegas to attend meetings for work. On the way back to Utah, my parents took Isabel and I over to see the new bypass bridge being built at the Hoover dam. It’s very impressive work being done on the bridge stretching out high over the canyon walls.

Looking west to the new by-pass bridge.

Lake Mead water level is so low.
I remember the water being so high…

ABC’s

In preparing Isabel for school in the fall, we purchased a Learn to Read program from Hooked on Phonics. It makes learning the ABC’s fun with games on CD-ROM, music, flash cards and workbooks. Today was Isabel’s first lesson and she did amazing! Hopefully if we stick to the program she’ll know all the letter’s not just by name but sight and sound too!

A – Can you find the fish with the letter A?

B – music video.

C – Can you find the fish with the letter C?
Good job, Isabel!

Road Trip

Yesterday, we headed into Seattle for a quick stop at Gino’s office.

Isabel “sewing” in the back.
She will sit and “sew” for hours!

Isabel and Daddy heading into the office.

She looks a little worried…even though she’s rode in an elevator before.

Just this past summer Seattle built this gate leading
into the International district. This is looking east through the gate…very cool!

I Wouldnt Of Believed It

… if I hadn’t seen it!

This picture was taken on Sunday, April 20th 2008, when Steven Curtis Chapman (the middle man) was inducted into the Music City Walk of fame along with 5 other inductees. Congratulations SCC!

Now, if I had never seen this picture I would never had believed it…2 of my favorite singers together in one good looking picture! Enjoy!

Left to right: Garth Brooks, Steven Curtis Chapman, and… some other guy
So does Garth listen to Steven or does Steven listen to Garth?
Makes ya think! Think? Think!

An apple a circle a cat and a tutu

The biggest gift Isabel received for Christmas was an art easel. One side has a chalk board the other a dry erase board and in the middle it holds a roll of paper to feed through the top and bottom for paints, markers, or whatever!

Tonight while I was getting dinner ready, Isabel was busily making art on the dry erase side of the board. Enjoy!

All smiles even though she has the yuckie germies, poor girlie!

The concentration…

Her finished work.
