Happy Resurrection Sunday

It’s Resurrection Sunday and unfortunately it’s raining outside. Isabel will have to wear a sweater again this year with her new Easter dress (so glad that I purchased one). Enjoy!

Before heading out to church this morning, I took a few quick shots of Isabel with her Easter basket. Nothing overwhelming; just a bit of candy and a few little toys. We didn’t want to take the focus off the real reason for the holiday! Now it’s off to church…

After we got back home from church and eating out for lunch. I realized that Isabel had the same message we, adults had in church. Both messages were about “transformation” or “God’s butterfly stories” and how the power of Jesus can transform our lives. Awesome!

And we…are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.” 2 Corinthians 3:18 (NIV)

“So I say, let the Holy Spirit guide your lives, Then you won’t be doing what your sinful nature craves.” Galatians 5:16 (NLT)

Some outdoor activities

Around here we have been patiently waiting for spring to “feel” like it’s actually here and today was the first day! So we headed outside to do some fun activities out-of-doors! Enjoy!

Getting all the nooks and crannies!

Onto finger painting…

Paint plate looks cool.

We each did a hand print…or two…or three…

Planting seeds

This morning we gathered around the dining table and did a little seed planting. Isabel planted her own flower garden with a Vinca mix and Teddy Bear Sunflowers. While Gino planted veggies; green peppers, tomatoes, cilantro, jalapeno’s and sweet pea’s. Enjoy!

Setting the seeds out…so tiny you almost miss them!

Damp fingers make for easier seed pick up!

Three days later Isabel had little shoots pushing up;
with only the teddy bear sunflowers showing!
This picture however is from day four.

Beads

When we were in Utah, Isabel and her cousin Bryndee played with Pop-it beads that Bryndee has and Isabel enjoyed them. So after returning home, I kept my eyes open for them and we finally found them! We have been making all kinds of jewelry creations since!

All the jewelry we made this day…rings, bracelets, and necklaces.
Isabel loves making all kinds of creation with these beads,
she plays with them almost every day!
