A gorgeous day out on Saturday. We all headed outside; Gino mowed the lawn for what he believes will be the last time for the year. Then cleaned up some weeds by the fence. I cleaned up the garage, winterized my flower pots and cut cardboard down for the recycle bin, helped Gino with the weeds. Isabel just hung out and helped where ever help was needed…NO, she had fun. She loves being outdoors and this day will probably one of the last nice, non rainy, days this year.

Tonight she started playing her “work” game just after Gino got home from work and this is how the conversation went…

Gino: Are you going to work?

Isabel: Yah.

Gino: What’s your job?

Isabel: I doctor.

Gino: What do you do as a doctor at work?

Isabel: Give band-aids.

Gino: You give band-aids out to people.

Isabel: Yah.

Gino: That makes people happy.

Isabel: Yah…I go to work. (and off she goes)

I think I was getting the little guy mad too because every time the flash would go off, I would raise the camera to see if the picture came out and I’d bend down to get another shot and it would be turned around with it’s back to me. Poor guy…I only wanted a picture.

After watching the movie to get the words correct for the song, I am again amazed at what my daughter picks up! “Sent from up above” is only mentioned in the whole song twice and yet Isabel can sing it perfectly with the melody!
Makes me wonder what will she say/sing next!?!?

I bought 6 small zucchini thinking that I needed enough for the 2 cups in the recipe. Well, I have ended up with probably 6 loaves of bread from those “small” zucchini! I’ll go ahead and freeze some and Gino can take some to his office. They all enjoy my banana bread they might like this too…

Gino did such an awesome job; he had one of our neighbors stop by this last evening and ask Gino what he would charge him to put up his fence! Can you believe it?!?! Gino very nicely declined the offer but did offer the man any help or tips he would need.

My hubby sure knows how to use wood! You did an awesome job! We all love it…especially Daisy, who gets out there and prances like a deer. So fun to watch…reminds me of Dakota and her in eastern Washington on 9th Street. What fun and sweet memories of those two. Now we have a new yard to make more sweet memories together. Thanks and I love you.
