Due to some technical difficulties with our old server, Gino had to move our family blog to a new server. Thus creating a few technical bumps in the road with updating the blog on my desktop computer.
Don’t worry, hopefully soon we will have the issues worked out and I will be back at. When that happens watch out, because I have a whole month of blogging to add. So check back and be ready!

Tonight Isabel made taco’s for dinner (with only a tiny bit of help).
She was super excited to be able to make dinner on her own.
She did a great job.
We have just been putting around the house today. The morning was to cool to head outside but this afternoon was warmer and the sun came out for a bit.
We played several hands of UNO® and then played 1 round of checkers before she decided to go outside in the backyard.
My 1-eyed partner plays a great game of checkers but in the end Mommy won.

It’s that time of year again to get out the die and celebrate the empty tomb with some “new life” eggs.
This year we just let Isabel do all the dye-work, she had fun but I think she’s looking forward to the hide-and-seek part better!

We just bought a little kit this year, seems easier.
All her eggs are in their dye bath to soak.
Now we wait…
and make faces at the camera.
Or we can do the shrink wrap eggs.
3 sleeves were included in the kit.
The third sleeve was a bit tough getting onto the egg.
While I lower the eggs, Isabel is snapping photos.
She thought this was cool.

It’s just about time for bed so we need to check on those eggs in the dye.
She started decorating and got 2 eggs completed before bedtime.
Tomorrow she can finish.
Writing something.
She won’t let me see it until she’s finished.
“Jesus love you”, she wrote.

2 movies, 1 book, 3 CD’s, fruit snacks, 1 chocolate marshmallow egg, some licorice,
some money and some popped corn kernels.
She’ll be surprised. She hasn’t had a basket in years.
While we were assembling the butterfly mobile, Daddy stopped by the classroom and said,
“Draw me a body.” So…
Daddy’s picture was drawn and the photography was taken by Isabel.
I LOVE the little bow tie that she drew for Daddy.

With so many photos taken and so many gifts I thought this would be easier…

We had a great day here at home. Just the three of us and Daisy.
The day started out cloudy but then the sunny broke through the clouds and grey later in the day.

Gino made breakfast bowls with eggs, sausage, tater tots and milk gravy (so good). After breakfast we gathered in the front room around our tree and heard the Bible reading from Luke 2:1-40 by Isabel.
Even Daisy enjoyed the Christmas reading.
She did an awesome job.
Our first gifts to open, were our Christmas stockings that were hanging by the fireplace.

This year I got myself two Christmas ornaments. Both made of metal and both very different.

I might leave this one out and hang it with my other crosses on the wall. It’s to pretty to pack away.
This morning in between subjects, we took some time to make some blueberry muffins.
Isabel added eggs and the water to the batter and also learned how to “fold” blueberries into the batter.
Remember stirring is bad, it’ll crush the blueberries.
We each got to fill a pan of 12 muffin cups and we had fun.
