In Utah, just before the Colorado boarder we saw this perfect circle in the the clouds.

In Green River, Utah we stopped for lunch and Gino noticed the temperature displayed on the dash…O.k. it gets hot in Utah but not that HOT!

In Colorado, we drove through some gorgeous mountain passes.
This fertile valley was lush with green grass and nestled in the valley beyond was a farm (you can just make out the red barn).

Before we headed over to Nana and Pompo’s, we stopped by the nest to see how the baby’s were doing since we didn’t stop to see them the day before…

In just one day they have grown so much!

Their heads are fully above the rim of the nest now! They are about to burst from their tiny home! The next day, we left for Colorado and didn’t hear about the babies until we arrived back at home; when we learned that they had flown the nest! On Tuesday, one baby flew away and the following day, the other left as well.

Two little baby hummingbirds sitting in their nest. You can’t tell from the photo but the nest is only about 3 inches across or so…not very big! Notice that their heads are hardly above the nest’s rim…

My Dad also showed us the Dove’s nest; which was located in the oleander bush next to the hummingbird nest! In a tree in the backyard, was another dove’s nest, too!

She was born on June 16th, 1924 in Las Tablas, New Mexico to Rosendo and Agapita Cisneros. Tee married Eddie J Valdez on February 22nd, 1942 in Monte Vista, Colorado. They had 10 children.

Tee worked as a nurse and also an owner of a few businesses, including Loco Taco in St. George, Utah. She loved to minister and share her faith with everyone. She was a prayer warrior and loved spending time in the Word of God. Her prayer and dream were to see all her family come to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior. Tee also loved to cook, garden, travel, embroider, cross-stitch, and bargain shop.

Tee loved to hear her family have fun and laugh. She enjoyed making others laugh by playing practical jokes. It has been an honor and privilege to have her as our mother. We will greatly miss her and we treasure our memories. But, rest assured we will see you one day in Heaven.

Surviving family include:
Paul Martinez, of St. George, Utah,
Silvie S. Valdez of North Salt Lake, Utah,
Rayna Espinoza of St. George, Utah,
Amiel Valdez of Ogden, Utah,
Duane Valdez of Salt Lake City, Utah,
Davidanne Linan of Pueblo West, Colorado,
and adopted granddaughters, Annette Martinez of Tucson, Arizona and Gina Escobar of Pueblo, Colorado. Tee also raised granddaughter Melissa Simpson of Nashville, Tennessee; 69 grandchildren, 72 great-grandchildren, and 31 great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers and sisters; husband Eddie; and sons Alexander and Eddie Jr.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, June 13th, 2009 at Spilsbury Mortuary Chapel in St. George, Utah. There was a visitation held prior to services. Additional services were also held on Tuesday, June 16th, 2009 in Pueblo West, Colorado. Interment was taken in Roselawn Cemetery, in Pueblo West, Colorado.

I call this one: “Face”. Just because to me it looks like an abstract face.

Isabel called this one herself and says that it’s a “man”.
