The smaller rock, she decorated with lines of blue, yellow, red, white, and orange. I’m going to get some clear coat and keep them somewhere around the yard for her to remember and enjoy.

Isabel had so much fun doing the watercolor painting, I think she would have continued right on through dinner if I would have let her! Enjoy!

After adding some balls and her name (which she spelled backwards); she decided to add more sparkle!

When Daddy got home, we were still working on these and he made her a flower which she decorated with a face.

I did a ring too with glitter glue and markers.

This “word” is given to her at breakfast and she has all day to figure it out, if she gets the word she gets rewarded, if not it’s no big deal we’ll try again tomorrow. Today we took a bit of a test to see how she’s moving forward with her learning the words of the day. Enjoy!

I absolutely love it and am thinking about getting it framed.

We started with a mound of tissue paper (mostly pastels and one a bit SPARKLY!) that I have been saving from Isabel’s baby shower (if you can believe that!). We each took a color and then ripped it down to about the size of a silver dollar or smaller in size.

I then cut a fairly good piece of contact paper, which I folded in half for her to work with the bottom half, the top half, I kept the paper on until she was finished. I told her just to lay the tissue paper any which way on the sticky contact paper. There is no wrong way to do it. After she said she was finished, I took the other half of contact paper, peeled the paper and slowly flipped it back onto the stained glass artwork that she had completed.

While she was working on her masterpiece, she wanted me to do one as well
(mine is on the right, if you can’t tell).

I was thinking about doing this project again but doing a more controlled project with shapes (like hearts, circles, stars, squares, etc.) and having her fill in the shape with tissue paper or newspaper (whatever!). So we’ll see, the possibilities are endless and she really had a lot of fun doing it.

Enjoy!

“This is a fruit store (not to be confessed with a fruit stand). People buy fruit here. The building on the right is the store and it has a chimney on the roof. It has banana’s out front (the yellow box) and steps because it’s raised up off the ground and people need to get into the store. The man on the green block is a worker, he helps the people when they come to the fruit store. The man inside the building (on the left), that is his house, he has a chimney on his house too, and he makes fruit cookies from the fruit at the store and gives them to people.” Isabel says.

“This is a bakery, people get pies here and only pies. It has steps because it’s raised up off the ground and people need to get pies. When people come to the bakery, the workers come and give you slices of pie. The green slides on the right are for the workers who work at the bakery for when they get bored. They can slide on the slide.” Isabel says.

I got to draw too but no one took a picture of it! Which is fine by me because I’m not an artist, all I drew was a refrigerator and it wasn’t all that good.
