Isabel loves to check the mail but at home I need to pick her up to even reach the mailboxes…not at Grma’s house! She can do it all by her big-girl-self!
Heading off down the street; she insisted on wearing her backpack, so now it looks like she’s heading off to catch the bus for school.
“Let me do it” she says.
“I can do it!” she says.
“I did it!” she says.

At about this same time, Gino pulled in from his stay in Vegas.
The next day, we spent the majority of the day outside on the patio at Mom and Dad’s house. I just wanted to soak up as much sun as I could (I did too!) and Isabel ran around and played with Grma and Grmpa. It was wonderful!

On Thursday, my parents came down to Vegas to pick Isabel and I up, while Gino stayed in Vegas to attend meetings for work. On the way back to Utah, my parents took Isabel and I over to see the new bypass bridge being built at the Hoover dam. It’s very impressive work being done on the bridge stretching out high over the canyon walls.

is no big deal for Isabel, she’s been on an airplane so many times in her short life that she’s almost considered a frequent flyer by now! Viva Las Vegas! Here we come!!!!

In preparing Isabel for school in the fall, we purchased a Learn to Read program from Hooked on Phonics. It makes learning the ABC’s fun with games on CD-ROM, music, flash cards and workbooks. Today was Isabel’s first lesson and she did amazing! Hopefully if we stick to the program she’ll know all the letter’s not just by name but sight and sound too!

Yesterday, we headed into Seattle for a quick stop at Gino’s office.

We love you! We have heard that your on the basketball team at school and that your really good! Keep up the great job! We will be seeing you in a few days!
